Diary entry from our Ex Community Warden, Peter Taylor
I have been told by the contractors that work will start in March to secure the retail units backing on to Balnacraig Court, stopping young people using it as a cut through and play area.
Later this Month work will begin on installing lighting along the Trailblazer Footpath at the rear of the playing fields making it accessible during the hours of darkness.
I am now working at both Central and Dalneigh Schools assisting with gardening clubs and Cross Country and have offered my services as a volunteer for other after school clubs.
Carrying on from the success of last years litter pick, I will be working with the 7/12 club to set up another event on the 12th of April as part of the keep Scotland Beautiful Campaign.
Two fixed penalties and 3 warnings have been issued for dog fouling, It is planned for the Dog Warden to be more of a presence in the area and people allowing their dogs to foul will be fined.
Our current local Community Warden, John Butler can be contacted through the James Cameron Community centre on 01463 718773.
